23-Sep-2009Drill team commander try outs will be announced on the parade square on Monday. However, all those wishing to try out for the commander position will have a uniform inspection at break on Monday (28 SEP 09). Try outs are open to Level 3 or higher. The dress for this Monday will be open collar. Those cadets who do not have a uniform must be wearing a white dress shirt, black pants, black shoes and a black tie. Let's get those boots shined and creases crisp! All Level Badges that have been handed out thus far must be sewn on by Monday (28 SEP 09). If you're not sure where it goes, ask your flight commander or visit the dress regulations. Badges will continue to be handed out on Monday. For those who wish to be pro-active, you may print off the permission slip for the NCO FTX and bring it in this Monday. Hard copies will be handed out on the parade square. This exercise is open to all F/Cpl's and up. Permission slips are to be returned NLT (no later than) 2 OCT 09. Range team try outs will be on Saturday (26 SEP 09) from 1000hrs to 1500hrs (10am to 3pm) at the LHQ. The doors will be locked promptly at 10 so arrive early to ensure you are able to try out. This try out is open to Level 2 or higher (the sign up list went out last week). Bring a lunch as we will continue through the lunch hour. Gliding for Level One and Two is on Saturday (26 SEP 09). If you signed up for this event, you are required to show up. We only get so many spots per training year, so let's not waste them. You need to arrive at the LHQ at 0715hrs (7:15am) with health card in hand. We should be back at the squadron by 1330hrs (1:30pm). Bring a lunch, a book, homework, etc. as there will be down time between flights. The dress is casual but appropriate (no tank tops, mid-drift tops, offensive language on t-shirts, etc.). Band practice will begin next week (29 SEP 09). Listen to announcements on the parade square for location. If you play an instrument, we want to see you. Please see speak with Sgt Izirein or CI Haye for more information on the squadron band. |
