Tagging
You must complete 3 out of 4 tagging shifts. The squadron provides a lot of resources (such as facilities, trips, teams, etc.) that this money is used for. If you didn't sign up for any shifts through your Flight Commander, but you can come, feel free to just show up. The more bodies the better. If you are ill or there are extenuating circumstances in which you can no longer attend, please phone the squadron. You must wear your full dress uniform (shirt and tie) and bring your parka and gloves as you are not permitted to stand inside the stores.

Tagging Shifts are as follows:
Shift 1: Friday, October 23, 2009 - 1730hrs - 2100hrs
Shift 2: Saturday, October 24, 2009 - 0830hrs - 1300hrs
Shift 3: Saturday, October 24, 2009 - 1200hrs - 1800hrs
Shift 4: Sunday, October 25, 2009 - 1100hrs - 1700hrs

The proper method for tagging is:
Do not stand in front of the door.
Greet each customer as they enter the store, "Excuse me Sir / Ma'am, would you like to help support the Royal Canadian Air Cadets?"
If they say "yes", thank them for their support and wish them a pleasant day, etc.
If they say "no", thank them anyways and wish them a pleasant day, etc.
At no time will you be rude, sarcastic, swinging your buckets in an unprofessional manner or in any way to represent the Air Cadet movement in a undesirable way.
There will be spot checks and if you are found to be in violation of these rules, you will be removed from the store and proper disciplinary action will be given.
These rules will be re-emphasized each shift.

Gliding
Cadets signed up for gliding are to arrive at the squadron no later than 1100hrs on Saturday, October 24, 2009 with health card in hand. You will not be permitted to board the bus without it. Please feel free to bring a lunch or snacks, homework, a book, etc. as there will be some down time. There is nowhere to purchase items to eat at the gliding centre.
The bus should return to the squadron around 1630hrs (4:30pm). If we arrive any earlier or later, cadets will phone home to advise.
