Military Appreciation Day at the Brampton Beast Game

All cadets are invited to join us with their family on Sunday, November 12, 2017 to participate in the military appreciation day sponsored by Kotak Law. Our flag party will be a part of the opening ceremonies and our band will play some music during the first intermission.

Time: 1:00PM at the main box office doors
Dress: C1 (full dress with medals)
Tickets: FREE – available from Captain Clark at the door

In previous years Mr. Kotak has kindly invited the cadets to his private corporate box to watch the game with food and drinks and there’s a good chance this will likely happen again (no promises though!).

Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender, Johnny Bower, will also be in attendance at the game and many veterans will be honoured. It’s truly a wonderful experience and we would love to see many of you out there!

Poppy Campaign CANCELLED – Nov 8

The poppy shift originally scheduled for Wednesday has been cancelled. Any cadets who were originally intending to participate are no longer required.

Remembrance Day Parade – 5 Nov 17

Mandatory Parade for all cadets
Sunday 05 November 2017
Drop-off: 1000hrs @ Chingacousy Park West entrance (Intersection of Central Park Drive and Hanover Road)
Pickup: 1230 hrs @ Royal Canadian Legion Branch 609 – 1133 Queen Street East Brampton
Dress: Cadets C1 with parka’s & black gloves, Staff 1A, All Weather coat optional, Civilians – business suit or equivalent. Cadets who do not have a cadet parka are asked to wear a civilian coat of a conservative nature.
All personnel are reminded to wear a poppy.

Civvies (civilian clothing) for $2.00 tonight

Cadets are invited to wear appropriate civilian clothing tonight for a minimum donation of $2.00. All money will be added to the tagging amount collected over the weekend. Participation is optional.

Orienteering Competition Information

For Sunday, October 22, 2017

Parents are to drop off their cadets at Claireville Conservation Area no later than 0900hrs located at 8180 Hwy 50, Brampton.

Parents to pick up their cadets from the same location NLT 1700hrs. Cadets are to bring their health card, they will not be permitted to participate without their health cards.

Dress. Cadets are authorized to wear appropriate civilian clothing during this competition. Running shoes shall be worn for the race. Cadets are to ensure that they are dressed according to the weather conditions. Rain gear and a change of clothing (including a second pair of shoes and socks) should be brought along with a change of warm cloths, hat, gloves etc.

Band and Drill tonight

Band and drill will both be held at Holy Name of Mary Secondary School at 115 Glenvale Blvd., Brampton. Enter through the main front doors and the gym is straight ahead. We will end promptly at 2000 hrs (8:00 PM).

Summer training – national courses

For cadets wishing to apply to a national course (completed level 3 or higher by end of training year), please speak with Capt. Huynh in Administration ASAP (starting tonight).

For the remainder of summer training applicants, more information will be distributed in the coming weeks but for now, we are just starting with those applying to national courses as the process is much more involved.

Power Pilot Scholarship (PPS)
Glider Pilot Scholarship (GPS)
Advanced Aviation Technology Course – Airport Operations (AATC-AO)

Gliding update

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will have to cancel the morning shift on Saturday. Cadets will be receiving a phone call but are welcome to participate in the afternoon or on Sunday instead. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Any cadets still wishing to attend Saturday afternoon or Sunday are welcome to show up and bring their permission form and health card on the day.
