758 "Argus" Squadron

758 Squadron was originally formed on the 10th of November 1965. It had a strength of approximately 30 Cadets and 6 Staff members and was located at the Brampton Armories on Chapel Street. By 1968 the squadron had increased in numbers to approximately 60 cadets. To be sure, 758 Squadron's greatest legacy has been its recruitment and retention of ex-cadets as instructors, thereby guaranteeing a certain measure of consistency over the years. The squadron now has a strength of 175 cadets, 5 officers and 8 civilian instructors. The squadron also has many parents involved in supporting the squadron via the sponsoring committee or other means.

Since our inception, 758 "Argus" Squadron has continued to provide young men and women in Brampton with a sense of direction and purpose, by providing the opportunity for someone to strive for something better. This year, as in the past, the Squadron sent cadets to Basic Camp, Introduction to Leadership Course, Introduction to Instruction Course, Air Studies, Survival Instructors Course, Senior Leaders Course, Glider and Power Pilot Courses, etc.

Many of our former Cadets have gone on to assume various positions with both the Canadian Military, and those who are actively involved as Cadet Instructors with ours and other Air Cadet Squadrons. We at 758 are proud of all their achievements.
